The Venice City Administration has officially confirmed the details of this year's entrance fee. The regulations for day-trippers remain largely unchanged from last year and once again focus on a limited period during the spring and summer.

Starting on April 3, 2026 A fee will be charged for visiting the lagoon city on a few select days. The city is thus continuing the system introduced in 2024 to manage visitor flows. The fee will end again on July 26, 2026. There are no fees for visits before April 3 or after July 26, or for the period through the end of the year.

Fees, Time Frames, and Exceptions: What Day Visitors Need to Know Now

The key points of the regulation:

Rate Structure: If you book in time, the admission fee remains 5 euros per person per day. Anyone who registers at the last minute (less than four days before the visit) will be charged a higher rate of 10 euros calculate.
Days of the week: In general, access to Monday through Thursday (with three specific exceptions) free of charge throughout the year.
Overnight guests: Visitors who have booked accommodations within the city limits of Venice are exempt from the fee. However, these guests must submit an exemption request online and carry proof of exemption with them during their stay.
Exceptions: The extensive list of groups of people exempt from payment will remain in effect in 2026 as well.

Admission is normally free from Monday through Thursday. However, since April 25, May 1, and June 2 fall on weekdays in 2026, the holiday rules apply:
