All photographs published on this website were taken by the site operator. The photographs are provided primarily for the purposes of documentation, information, and the dissemination of knowledge about Venice and its cultural heritage.

Free Use

The photographs available on this website may be downloaded, saved, and used free of charge for personal, academic, educational, journalistic, and other noncommercial purposes.

In particular, the following are permitted:

use on personal, noncommercial websites and blogs,
use in noncommercial presentations and lectures,
use on social media for noncommercial purposes.
Editing the Photographs

Editing the photographs for the aforementioned noncommercial purposes is permitted. This includes, in particular:

Cutting,
Zoom in or out,
Enlarged details,
Adjusting brightness and contrast,
Technical preparation for printing or on-screen display.

However, the editing must not give the impression that the edited image originated from the website operator or was published by the operator in this form.

Commercial Use

Commercial use of the photographs is not permitted without the prior consent of the operator.

This applies in particular to the use of:

The free download does not transfer ownership of the original photo or any copyright. It merely grants permission for the use described above.
