As you can see here on the map, Line 2 runs almost in a circle. However, the two stops at St. Mark's Square are far apart. It's the ideal line for a sightseeing tour in and around Venice. You'll be thrilled. The main stops are:

This type of boat is typically used on Line 2. The front seats are especially sought after. Only from there do you have an unobstructed view of the magnificent palazzi on both sides of the Grand Canal. Line 2 Departure Times

During the day, Line 2 runs every 12 minutes. The first boat departs from St. Mark's Square at 4:55 a.m.
(S. Zaccaria) The last evening trip departs at 11:16 p.m. The entire route from St. Mark’s Square – S. Zaccaria to St. Mark’s Square – Vallaresso takes 74 minutes, which is just one minute under the maximum allowed travel time of 75 minutes.

Your vaporetto for arrival and departure

The Vaporetti Line 2 travels just as fast (or slow) through the Grand Canal as Line 1. However, it stops only at the larger stops. This means you’ll reach your destination faster when arriving or departing: either at the train station or at the parking garages at the Piazzale Roma or at the parking garage on the island Tronchetto. Just like Line 1, it's also a great way to see all the beautiful palaces on both sides of the canal.

ACTV Line 2: Tronchetto Stop

If you decide to park your car at the Tronchetto parking garage, you'll find a Vaporetto The Line 2 terminal, as shown in the picture: depending on the location of your hotel, you'll travel through the Giudecca Canal or the Grand Canal. The picture shows which Line 2 terminal you need to use.

ACTV Line 2, Piazzale Roma Stop

The Vaporetti Of course, the Line 2 trains also stop at the station and, as shown here in the picture, at the Piazzale Roma. This makes it suitable not only for visitors who park their cars at the Tronchetto parking garage, but also for those at the other two parking garages: Autorimessa and Garage San Marco.
