You can board immediately and will typically reach your accommodations after a 30-minute ride. Price: starting at €160.00 per trip/taxi

All buses and taxis run from Marco Polo Airport to the Piazzale Roma. This is the northern outskirts of Venice and the furthest point that vehicles on wheels can reach.

Features of the Alilaguna connection

The three options for overland travel
Please note: All buses and taxis from Marco Polo Airport only go as far as the Piazzale Roma. This is the northern outskirts of Venice and the furthest point that vehicles on wheels can reach.
Public transportation via the ACTV bus (Route 5)

The ACTV public transit Line 5 bus stops right in front of the airport building (pictured here). It runs every 15 to 20 minutes. Since this bus stops at several stops along the way, the trip takes a little longer. Travel time: approx. 35 minutes. Price: €10.00 per person per trip.
Important Note: Please note: This ACTV ticket is valid only for airport transfers and NOT for public transportation in Venice via water buses (vaporetto).
Public Transit with the ATVO Express Bus

You'll also find buses operated by ATVO right in front of the building. This express bus goes directly to Piazzale Roma without any stops along the way.
Even though it might be confusing: Yes, it's true that two public transit providers offer airport transfers. ATVO normally serves only the rural area east of Venice. And since Marco Polo Airport is located east of Venice, ATVO also offers its express buses for transfers there.
Travel time: approx. 25 minutes (fastest bus route) Price: €12.00 per person/trip.
Please note. ACTV tickets may only be used on the ACTV Aerobus on Line 5, and ATVO tickets are valid only on the ATVO bus. .
My expert tip: If you're planning an airport transfer by land, take the fast ATVO Express buses. We and our entire Venedig.com team also use this ATVO Express bus. The buses are very comfortable, fast, air-conditioned, and offer free Wi-Fi.
Airport Transfer by Street Taxi

Treviso Airport Transfer to Venice

Treviso is a small city north of Venice. Several airlines fly to this regional airport. Passengers arriving there need an airport transfer to Venice and back.
But that's NO problem. The ATVO buses (public transportation in the Venice hinterland) will take you safely and reliably to Venice and back. According to Google Maps, the distance is about 40 kilometers.
Usually, an ATVO bus is waiting right in front of the airport building after every landing. (See the left side of the picture.) You board the bus after your flight, and it takes you to Piazzale Roma in Venice. Price per person per trip: 14.00 euros (As of April 2026)
